We have decided bring back the traditional Sunday Club Ride.
It is in no way intended to replace any of the regular rides members take part in. But will provide an opportunity for those who wish to progress their cycling. It will be a step up from the standard Saturday rides, both in distance and speed, and will hopefully encourage people to increase their training improve their fitness and maybe even launch them on the path towards racing for the club. If they aren’t already doing so. It’s also a good way to meet other members and pick up tips or impart some wisdom. Every week there will be a designated leader for the ride and we will try and post up the route. Often there will be a slower group and a faster group. So don’t be put off.
(Over the summer, with many members racing on Sundays, keep an eye on the forum for updates as there won’t always be a ride leader available)
It is open to all DP members and friends of the club.
Meet at 9.00 am outside (or inside) Cadence for a 9.15am departure.
Approximately 100km finishing back at Crystal Palace.
Average speed approx 25kph. Back about 1pm.
No stops, no coffee, no racing. We’ll regroup at the top of the hills and obviously stop for mechanicals. No one will be abandoned in deepest Surrey, Sussex or Kent.
Look on the Forum for the latest news about who’s leading this weeks ride and what the route is

See you there.
