Joining Dulwich Paragon is an easy, 3-step process.
1. Do The Non-Members’ Introductory Ride
These are held on the 1st Saturday of each month. ALL prospective members must do this ride as a prerequisite to applying for membership – and you MUST register before as numbers are restricted to 50 (see “Getting Started”). There are NO EXCEPTIONS to this requirement and you MAY NOT join a DP Saturday club ride at any other time as a non-member.
1) You MUST have attended an introductory no more than 3 months before the date that you apply to join.
2) YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE A BRITISH CYCLING MEMBER to do this ride. If you enjoy it and decide to apply for membership follow STEPS 2 and 3 below.
3) If you are an existing British Cycling member DO NOT ADD DPCC to your BC membershipUNTIL AFTER YOU HAVE ATTENDED AN INTRODUCTORY RIDE.
More details about the intro ride here.
2. Join British Cycling (BC) or add DPCC to an existing BC membership
At Race Silver, Race Gold or Ride level, nominating Dulwich Paragon CC as one your clubs on the form. Bronze level is NOT acceptable. ALL members of DPCC MUST be British Cycling members, regardless of any other cycling-related memberships (eg: National Tri. CTC, LCC etc). This is for insurance purposes and to emphasise DP’s ethos as sporting, competitive cycling club.
Note: If you have an existing BC membership you must add Dulwich Paragon Cycling Club as one of your clubs with BC, before requesting to join. This includes those looking to join as a second claim member.
3. Join Dulwich Paragon
Finally, once you have your British Cycling membership number, click on the link below to join Dulwich Paragon via the Rider HQ website. Please ensure that you select the correct membership type.
Please take care to fill in all details accurately (DoB, BC number, contact numbers, etc) and make sure the name(s) you enter on the sign-up page is(are) IDENTICAL to those on your BC membership.
At this point you will asked to confirm that you agree to help (volunteer) with at least two club promotions each year. This is a NON-NEGOTIABLE REQUIREMENT FOR ALL MEMBERS. If you cannot satisfactorily fulfil this obligation your membership MAY BE CANCELLED.
If approved you will now be able to join all club-related rides, events and activities.
Dulwich Paragon membership lasts for 12 months from the date of joining.
Joining the club online forum
The club forum is a lively and useful resource available to all current club members. Under the various sections you will see all the activities that are going on in and around the club – rides, races, events, special offers and general chit-chat. To participate you must be a paid-up member and you must use your full name (first name and surname) when applying to join. This ensures clarity and security. Non-members are welcome to visit but may not post to the forum.
