Sunday Club Runs leave from Cadence at 9.15am. All members and friends welcome. Keep an eye on the Forum for details. Also:
… Many rides on a Sunday are organised on an ad hoc basis via the forum, or via Google groups like the DPNC. Check there regularly for details. There is often a ‘Mums & Dads Ride’ which meets at Elmers End roundabout at around 0700/0730 for a fast ride prior to parental duties! Again keep an eye on the club forum.
We organise several special Sunday rides each year. These are usually all-day affairs, quite social and moderately-paced, which end at a pub from where we return by train. These include: The Canterbury Pilgrimage – Canterbury via Pilgrims way; the Ice-Cream Ride , a 130k jaunt to Morelli’s famous ice-cream parlour in Broadstairs; The Wat? Hoo? Wye? Ware? – a 190k ride to Ramsgate via the Wat Tyler pub in Dartford, and Hoo, Wye and Ware villages in Kent. Once again these will be advertised on the club forum. Also keep an eye out for the Cols of Crystal Palace ride, which zig-zags up and down the many roads which lead to Sydenham and Crystal Palace hills: 3000m of climbing and you’re never more than a mile from the cafes!
Finally, there are often pick-up rides on Sundays. There are several cafes in Crystal Palace – Cadence, Cafe Paradou, Cafe St Germain – where riders from our club and many others meet informally around 0800 – 0900 Join one of these rides – it’s a great way of getting to know fellow club members and the wider South London cycling community.
