Dulwich Youth and Young Adults – Dulwich Paragon Espoirs

A friendly and informal group of keen riders aged from 15 to 21 whose aim is to ride well, race and enjoy all that cycling has to offer. The group is organised by Charlie Codrington, David Rees, and Jeremy Beswick. All are experienced cyclists and long standing Dulwich members.  Charlie is a British Cycling-trained Level 2 coach and keen MTB racer, Dave an accomplished racing cyclist, with success in Road, Cyclo Cross, MTB and Brompton Racing. Jeremy has a wealth of knowledge and experience in the Cyclosportive world and is the club’s Welfare Officer.

We expect our members to aspire to race and to support you we run two activities per week – a group ride on Saturday morning coupled with a mid-week training session. Not only is the programme tailored to get you to the start line but also so you enjoy the sport and the camaraderie of riding with South London’s leading cycling club.

Youth and Young Adult membership benefits

  • Rides and training sessions planned specifically for the age groups.
  • Reduced membership fee (£10) for students
  • 50% discount on club kit
  • Membership of BC Registered Go Ride Club

Our expectations of you

All we ask is that you are keen to get fit and join in, have a road bike that is in good condition (i.e. working gears, brakes and tyres in good condition) and you are prepared to maintain it.

As all rides are on the public road you will be required to wear a cycling helmet and for your own safety you should have completed Bikeability Level 2. Dulwich Paragon rules require members to join British Cycling at either Gold or Silver level (Bronze is not acceptable). This is free for riders under 16 years old.

How to Join

We would prefer that you accompany us on a few of our rides on a trial basis before joining, so in the first instance please email the club on info@dulwichparagon.com
(NB Youth members do not have to complete the normal monthly induction ride).
